Architectural Engineering Department at the Egyptian Russian University Organizes a Workshop on Integrating Artificial Intelligence in Architectural Rendering

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Faten Labib, Head of the Architectural Engineering Department, the department organized an advanced applied workshop titled “Archi-AI Masterclass: Speed Up Your Workflow”.
This initiative falls within the department’s ongoing strategy to develop students’ technical and digital skills. It aims to bolster practical application in alignment with the latest global advancements, ultimately qualifying highly competent graduates capable of competing in the modern labor market.
The workshop was designed to train students on state-of-the-art techniques for integrating artificial intelligence tools into architectural rendering processes, enabling them to produce professional projects with remarkable speed and precision. The activities focused on establishing an efficient workflow that seamlessly transforms 3D models and preliminary sketches into highly polished final renders, significantly reducing workflow time while elevating the quality of the final output.
The workshop covered several key topics, most notably:
A comprehensive introduction to AI applications in architecture.
An overview of smart architectural rendering tools.
Prompt Engineering and the art of crafting effective text prompts.
Mechanisms for preserving design identity and original architectural massing.
A complete practical workflow from the initial model to the final render.
Applying final touches and preparing professional presentation boards.
Hands-on applications and a final design challenge among the students.
The workshop concluded with widespread acclaim for the students’ performance. They demonstrated exceptional proficiency in translating design concepts into diverse 3D models, reflecting a profound understanding of how to bridge architectural analysis with digital form-generation technologies.
