Continuation of the activities of the study program for Children’s University in the Egyptian Russian University

Within the framework of the university’s social responsibility and in order to achieve the university’s mission for community development, and in support of discovering and developing the skills of distinguished children in different educational stages, and under the auspices of Prof. Sherif Fakhry, president of the University, the activities of the “Children’s University” program continued on campus. Where the content of the environment and energy course, and the arts course were taught to children of the fifth and sixth grades of the Children’s University.
Dr. Omar Abd El-Aziz, a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, taught the environment and energy course, which discussed the environmental factors that affect life on Earth planet, how to preserve nature to achieve sustainable development, and how to reduce emissions that negatively affect the environment. He also explained in a simple way the sources of environmental energy.

In the same context, the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University received the children to present the content of the arts, which was taught by the assistant lecturer/ Yomna Sherif, the teaching assistant/ Nadim Mohamed, and a team from the college. The aim of the arts content is to stimulate the creative energies and aesthetic view of children, and how to mediate to see all that is beautiful and express it in creative images that blend imagination with reality.
Moreover, Children drew and painted landscapes in innovative ways.
In order to strengthen the idea of sustainable development and waste recycling to preserve the environment and raise awareness of the importance of it on our lives, the children made a bag of newspapers and decorated it using the “collage” technique.
