These events were organized by the Chinese Cultural Center, in addition to students’ participation in a celebration held by the Confucius Institute at Ain Shams University, attended by a distinguished group of Chinese language professors and students from Chinese language departments across Egyptian universities.
He noted that this participation came with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mostafa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and reflects the university’s keenness to engage its students in international events that contribute to understanding and accepting others, enhancing their professional competencies, and building bridges of communication, which represent a fundamental pillar for achieving international cooperation.
In the same context, Dr. Makarem El-Ghamry, Dean of the Faculty of Alsun at the Russian Egyptian University, confirmed that the Chinese Spring Festival and Chinese New Year celebration organized by the Chinese Cultural Center was attended by the Minister Counselor and Director of the Educational Office at the Chinese Embassy in Cairo.
She added that the event included a large artistic ceremony, during which Egyptian and Chinese students presented various and diverse performances that reflected an atmosphere of friendliness and mutual understanding among the Egyptian and Chinese attendees.
The Dean further pointed out that participation in such official events of countries friendly to Egypt comes within the university’s strategy to integrate its students into cultural activities at the local, regional, and international levels, with the aim of developing their linguistic and cultural skills and preparing graduates capable of building bridges of communication between different civilizations.
Dr. Makarem El-Ghamry also emphasized that the college administration is keen to support all student activities both inside and outside the campus, in a way that encourages students to engage in fair competition with their peers from other universities and institutes, exchange knowledge and experiences, and ultimately achieve excellence and success.
