The Egyptian Russian University (ERU) management congratulates the ERU’s Futsal Team for its victory over the European Universities Team in the match held on the ERU’s playground, as part of the Universities Championship (Martyr/ Ibrahim Al-Refai Championship 52). The championship is organized by the Egyptian Universities Sports Federation, whereas (58) public and private universities are participating.
The ERU’s team is included in “Group Seven”, which also includes the teams of the American University, Egypt University of Informatics, and the University of Science and Technology. The journey of the ERU’s team started by obtaining the second place in Group Seven in the round (32); and so the team has faced with the second place in Group Ten the European Universities Team, where a play-off match has been held to decide the team that would advance to the round (16) at the level of public and private universities. The match has ended with the ERU’s team defeating the European Universities Team 2 / 1.
