Egyptian Russian University Launches "Youth Without Smoking" Campaign to Promote Healthy University Environment

The Egyptian Russian University (ERU) has launched today a week-long awareness campaign to limit the phenomenon of smoking on campus under the slogan “Youth Without Smoking.”
The campaign reinforces the state’s efforts to prevent smoking in public places and educational institutions. It also emphasizes the university’s commitment to creating a safe and healthy learning environment.
The campaign aims to raise awareness on the dangers of smoking and to encourage all the university community members, especially students, to adopt a healthy, smoke-free lifestyle.
The campaign’s main goals include:
* Raising awareness on the dangers of smoking: highlighting the serious harms which smoking causes to the physical and mental health of young people.
* Supporting smoking quitting: providing necessary support, guidance materials, and interactive activities for students who wish to quit smoking.
* Creating a healthy university environment: building a culture within the university campus that encourages positive behaviors and adherence to healthy habits.
The campaign is part of a broader university strategy which aims at comprehensive development of the student, not confined to the academic aspect, but extending to include the health and social aspects as well.
The Egyptian Russian University invites all students, faculty members, and staff to actively participate in the campaign’s diverse activities. Campaign organizers emphasize that individual and community commitment serves as the foundation for the initiative’s success in reinforcing a culture of awareness and providing a better educational and healthy environment for all
