ERU Faculty of Al-Alsun Students participating in a cultural and tourism promotion event for the Chinese city of Xiamen.
Under the invitation of the Chinese Embassy and the patronage of Professor Makarem El-Ghamry, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun and Technical Languages, students from the Chinese Language Department took part in the event titled “Xiamen… A City That Tells a Story,” co-organized by the Chinese Cultural Center in Cairo.
The program featured a photo exhibition showcasing the beauty of Xiamen, its distinctive maritime character, and its most prominent tourist attractions, highlighting the city’s status as a coastal gateway in China’s Fujian Province. A display of traditional Chinese clothing, with its vivid colors and intricate details, reflected the richness of the city’s history and culture. In addition, artistic performances inspired by the sea and coastal landscape creatively combined traditional and contemporary art forms, underscoring Xiamen’s image as a vibrant and culturally diverse city.
The participating students expressed their delight at the lively and interactive atmosphere of the event and the significant cultural and educational value it offered. They extended their sincere thanks to the faculty administration for granting them this opportunity, which enabled them to learn more about Chinese culture, broadened their perspective on language learning, and deepened their motivation to engage with the culture of the Chinese people.
