The Faculty of Al Alsun and Technical Languages at the Egyptian Russian University is looking forward to achieving excellence in the field of studying technical languages through an academic system based on specialization in one of the foreign languages. The educational program focuses on acquiring translation skills through translating various texts, in addition to studying a second foreign language, as well as the mother tongue, which is necessary to prepare well educated translators who are able to translate texts from and into their mother tongue.
The Faculty of Al-Alsun and Technical Languages is determined to provide a distinguished learning environment in order to prepare specialists in technical languages and translation within an outstanding scientific, research, and cultural framework, which is based on a system of quality, moral values, and effective community partnership.
- Providing modern educational programs in foreign languages and their technical branches, and in the specialized technical translation, in order to prepare a distinguished graduate who masters foreign languages and technical translation skills.
- Developing the student’s skills of scientific thinking and critical analysis.
- Providing the student with the skills of dealing with modern technology in a manner which shall serve their linguistic proficiency and technical translation skills.
- Developing the student’s scientific research skills.
- Training the students on the skill of employing the acquired knowledge to serve the community and the environment.
- Developing the student's ability to acquire the culture of citizenship and to maintain a dialogue with the other who is different.
- Contributing to the development of the translation movement between Arabic language and foreign ones in the various technical fields: cultural, literary, journalistic, scientific, commercial, economic, legal, touristic and other fields.
Faculty of Al-Alsun and Technical Languages at the Egyptian Russian University awards Al-Alsun Bachelor’s degree in technical languages and specialized translation. The study at the faculty shall begin in three departments (English, Russian and German) in preparation for opening the rest of the enlisted departments.
