Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University inaugurates its annual exhibition…. With pictures. .
Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abd El-Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced the inauguration of the first annual exhibition of the “Faculty of Applied Arts” at the university’s headquarters with the participation of many companies in various manufacturing fields such as:
“Furniture, crystal, clothing, antique reproductions, printing, inks, and glass, and a number of senior designers in Egypt and the Arab World”. He pointed out that the exhibition comes within the framework of the University’s endeavor to achieve a distinguished educational system for students, linked to the labor market, and to support academic partnership with industrial and community institutions, with the support of Dr. Mohamed kamal El- Sayed Mostafa Chairman of the University Board of Trustees.
In the same context, Dr. Essam Khamis, Vice President of the Egyptian Russian University, stated that the first annual exhibition of the “Faculty of Applied Arts” comes out of the university’s belief in its role in achieving academic and economic progress, and in order to achieve one of the requirements for access to a productive university and the fourth generation of universities. And to lead the development and comprehensive renaissance in society, and in pursuit of creating a unique academic environment capable of positive influence and qualifying students to participate in industrial development, with the vital role that the university adopts in discovering and developing the creative and innovative capabilities of students, especially in the field of applying the arts, by linking students with the tools and requirements of modern industry which depends on modern technology. He added that applied arts are related to design to produce works and products that are functional and beautiful such as”industrial design, graphic design, fashion design, interior design, and decorative art.”
Dr. Ezz El- Din Abd El- Aziz, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University, stated that the first annual exhibition of the Faculty was held under the title : “Towards preparing an Innovative Designer in Designing and Developing Product in Egypt.” The exhibition lasted for three consecutive days during the current month of March in (2023)
He indicated that the exhibition included exhibition halls for models of products of some companies related to the specializations of applied arts, such as: “interior design, furniture, printing, packaging, glass, fashion, and clothing.”

Treasures of Egypt Company for Archeological Models.
Design House and Furniture.
Industry Company.
Decorama Company.
SPI printing Company.
Asfour Crystal Company.
Hijabi Clothing Company.
For her part, Dr. Safia El-qabbani, Advisor to the president of the Egyptian Russian University of visual arts, explained that the most important characteristic of this year’s exhibition is the opening of new horizons and opportunities for the students of the “Faculty of Applied Arts”; for training in the largest companies related to the “fields of applied arts” which is considered an important step for students to be trained during their studying; to be at the highest level of readiness to enter the labor market, whether “local, regional or international”.
Noting that the exhibition aims to connect students with the industrial community to achieve the highest link between academic study and industrial requirements , as the aim is to achieve the vision and policy of the university in preparing graduates to be an added value to the economy and contribute to social development.
The first annual exhibition of the “Faculty of Applied Arts” at the Egyptian Russian University in the exhibition hall included various specialized artistic models of applied art works, for some designers, including, “Dr Ezz El- Din Abd El- Aziz, Dr. Nahed Baba, Dr. Atef Al- Mutaie, Dr. Yasser Mabad, Dr. Khaled Al- Sheikh, Dr Ibrahim Ahmed Al- Sayed, Eng. Tayseer Hamed, Eng. Ahmed Qeshta, and Eng. Sayed Waked.
The first annual exhibition of the “Faculty of Applied Arts” was attended by a group of deans, faculty members, assistant staff, and students from various faculties of the university.
