President of the Egyptian Russian University, Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Naby, announced launching a Consultative Center for research in product design and development in the field of applied arts inside the Faculty of Applied Arts at the university’s headquarters in Badr City. The center aims to support and sponsor scientific research, link it with industrial production, and contribute to continuous research and development to ensure the improvement of local products and keeping up with modern manufacturing technologies. He emphasized that this step comes as part of ERU role in supporting applied scientific research, which contributes to solving the problems facing industrial institutions and achieving practical solutions based on scientific and objective foundations. This step enhances the performance of these institutions, increases their productivity and reliability, and achieves our country’s vision for developing the industrial sector and sustainable development. All took place under the auspices of Dr. Mohamed Kamal El Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.

On his part, Dr. Ezz El-Din Abdel Aziz, Dean of ERU Faculty of Applied Arts, confirmed that the idea of establishing the Consultative Center for research in product design and development in the field of applied arts comes within the framework of community participation in order to provide academic services for the surrounding community.

The services provided by the Consultative Center for research in product design and development in the field of applied arts include the following:

  1. Consultative studies related to applied arts majors.
  2. Designing and implementing the first sample of products related to the fields of applied arts.

Designing and implementing specialized artistic works, which can be executed either through the center or supervised during execution in external industrial entities.
