For the first time at the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology... Students of the Egyptian Russian University design an integrated accounting information system

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that, within the framework of the university’s vision and approach to adopting ideas for practical student projects needed by the local and international markets, 26 students from the Business Information Systems (MIS) Department at the university’s Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology have successfully designed an integrated accounting information system. He emphasized the importance of such systems and applications, as they have become essential for ensuring the effectiveness of financial management, ensuring the success of institutions, achieving their aspirations, and reaching their desired goals. This is a part of the university’s strategy to link academic studies with practical projects needed by the local and international markets, with support from Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.

In the same context, Dr. Tahera El-Sayed Hamieh, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that students from the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology (MIS) implemented (6) integrated accounting applications for (6) micro-enterprises. This is part of the projects required in the Accounting Information System course, under the supervision of Dr. Hend Mohamed El Gamil Abdel Hamid, Lecturer of Accounting, and Nada Medhat Abdel Qader, Assistant Professor in the Business Technology Department.

The Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology at the Egyptian Russian University indicated that the students designed and developed (6) practical accounting applications that can be used for six micro-enterprises, as follows:

1- An accounting information system for a restaurant, designed by Khaled Ashraf, Yassa Maurice, Mustafa Hassan, David Gamil, and Karim Khaled.

2- An accounting information system for a bakery, designed by Paula Sami Philip, Adham Alaa, Youssef Ashraf George, and Iyad Hamed.

3- An accounting information system for a gym, designed by Moatasem Khaled, Mohamed Moataz, Hadi El Sayed, Mohamed Hesham, and Ebrahim. Naguib.

4- An accounting information system for a grocery store, designed by students Ahmed Mohamed and Ahmed Hesham.

5- An accounting information system for a mobile store, designed by students Ola Ayman, Mahmoud Mohamed Farag, Mohamed Nasser, Mohamed Mahmoud, and Mohanad Amjad.

6- An accounting information system for a pet shop, designed by students Ghada Ali Abdo, Radwa Sherine Mohamed, Lama Rami Mohamed, Alaa Nabil Hussein, and Youssef Ashraf Sayed.

Dr. Tahera El Sayed Hamieh emphasized that information systems tools were employed alongside financial accounting to produce effective technical solutions that meet the needs of micro-enterprises. These applications focused on providing accurate and effective accounting and administrative information systems, with low cost-copping with modern trends toward digitization and digital transformation.

The Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Information Technology noted that Dr. Ghada Nabil, a lecturer in the Management Information Systems Program, attended the discussion of this achievement. She expressed her admiration for the academic and creative level of the outcomes, emphasizing the importance of this type of applied projects that integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application, contributing to the preparation of cadres capable of keeping pace with the challenges of the labor market and meeting the requirements of digital development in micro-enterprises.
