From the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence... Details of the Minister of Communications' Honoring of Students and Graduates of the Egyptian-Russian University...
Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel-Nabi, President of the Egyptian-Russian University, announced that Engineer Raafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, honored students Abdel Rahman Ahmed Khamis (fourth year), Rodina Mohamed (fourth year), and Salma Khaled El-Sayed (third year), as well as graduate Mohamed Farouk, all from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the university. This recognition was for their outstanding achievement and their ranking among the top students nationwide in the “Digital Egypt Pioneers Initiative – Second and Third cohoer.” He noted that the participation of students and graduates in this nationwide technology initiative reflects the university’s commitment to student activities and training programs that equip young people with artificial intelligence skills, thus preparing them to work in the modern technology sector and lead jobs in the future.
The President of the Egyptian-Russian University explained that students and graduates participated in the initiative through personal projects as a result of the university’s strategy to enhance the expertise and skills of faculty, students, and alumni, and to facilitate exchanging knowledge. This strategy is supported by Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees. He noted that the Digital Egypt Pioneers initiative is a key element in Egypt’s digital transformation strategy and an investment in the digital skills of students and graduates. He added that the university participants were able to secure the scholarship after passing the required tests and fulfilling all program admission requirements. They received intensive training in various technical fields and worked diligently to gain their certificates and excel in the scholarship program, an achievement that underscores the competence of the university’s students and their ability to compete effectively in specialized national initiatives.
In the same context, Dr. Hisham Fathy, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian-Russian University, affirmed that this recognition is a culmination of the students’ and graduates’ success in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. He noted that the students excelled in an intensive training program covering Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Information Technology, which is a fundamental component of preparing them for work in the modern technology sector. The training program included cutting-edge technologies such as:

– Artificial Neural Networks
– Natural Language Processing (NLP)
– Software Development
– User Experience Design
– User Interface Design
The Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian-Russian University indicated that this achievement is the culmination of the university and faculty’s efforts to raise and enhance the efficiency of young talent, including faculty members, students, graduates, and staff. It also reflects the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in the field of information and communication technology, and the provision of accredited training programs and courses for university students to transfer technological knowledge from distinguished-level international experts.
Dr. Hisham Fathy stated that those who are honored by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology at the conclusion of the initiative are:
* Student Abdulrahman Ahmed Khamis: Participated in the second cohort from November 2024 to May 2025 in the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science track.
* Student Rodina Mohamed: Participated in the third cohort from June 2025 to December 2025 in the User Experience/User Interface (UI/UX) design track, a specialized track that contributes to developing practical and creative skills in user experience design.
* Student Salma Khaled Elsayed: She participated in the third cohort, from June 2025 to December 2025, in the Software Development (Angular Frontend) track, an advanced applied program in software development.
* Graduate Mohamed Farouk: He also participated in the third cohort, from June 2025 to December 2025, in the Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Cloud Computing track, an advanced program combining artificial intelligence, data science, and cloud computing.
The Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence concluded by emphasizing the university’s commitment to developing young talents and honing their digital skills, believing in their role in leading the technological future and achieving Egypt’s digital vision.
