In its second round ... The Egyptian Russian University’s Faculty of Pharmacy opens its exhibition of cosmetics ... photos

The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University (ERU), Dr. Mohamed Ehab Fattouh, announced the opening of the “Cosmetics Exhibition”, in its second successive round, as part of the students’ practical activities within the faculty. The exbibition is held regularly every academic year. It includes a number of distinguished products which are related to some academic curricula of the “fourth year students” at the faculty … He stated that the exhibition is held under the patronage of the President of the University, Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abd-el-Naby, and under the supervision of the Department of Pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutical Technology.

The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the ERU added that the exhibition comes within the framework of encouraging the students and providing support for all means of developing students’ abilities and skills. This is in order to help them work collectively and to prepare them for joining the labor market at all levels: “local, regional and international.” It also enables them to acquire the necessary experience and skills, and to take correct steps to start projects that are related to what they have studied, and to qualify them for entrepreneurship and to take part in sustainable development. One of these means is holding such exhibitions and motivating students to compete in manufacturing some pharmaceutical products by using basic natural raw materials.

In the same context, the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology at the ERU, Dr. Afaf Ramadan, explained that the students provided a number of products which had been produced in the faculty’s laboratories, such as: “sulfate-free hair shampoo, hair conditioner, lip balms, hyaluronic acid serum, disinfectants, a number of soap bars which contain natural substances that are useful and nourishing for the skin, such as black seed, turmeric, oats, cocoa, and others.” She pointed out that the exhibition was organized by the department’s work team: Assistant Lecturer / Tasneem Mohamed, Pharmacist / Yumna Soliman, Pharmacist / Mona Ayman, as well as the department’s supporting staff member.”

The Head of the Department of Pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutical Technology added that the exhibition projects make it possible for the students to implement their innovations by applying what they have learned in some academic courses, including the preparation of various cosmetic products for skin, hair and body care, which conform to the standard quality specifications in this field. She also pointed out that the exhibits were admired by the attendees, who praised the excellent level of quality of the products. All attendees paid tribute to the students, their efforts, their excellence, and their eagerness to become distinguished pharmacists in the labor market.
