In the Presence of Giant Companies and Leaders of Engineers’ Syndicate, Faculty of Engineering at Egyptian Russian University Organizes “2025 Graduate Employment Forum” ... photos

The Egyptian Russian University held its “Engineering Forum” for the year (2025) in the presence of a group of giant companies in the areas of industry, communications, construction, and urban development. The purpose of this forum is to enhance communication between students and graduates on the one hand, and institutions working in various engineering sectors on the other, to support graduates and also to empower them to effectively integrate into the labor market. So it aims at providing real opportunities for direct communication with industrial and consulting companies and also with institutions in various fields.

 

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abd-el-Naby, President of the Egyptian Russian University (ERU), announced that the university’s job fair for graduates of the Faculty of Engineering is not just an annual event, but a real investment in the future of young people. It comes as a commitment from the university to support its graduates, open new horizons for them to launch their professional lives, and contribute to the development of society. This year, the forum has succeeded in providing many employment and training opportunities for the faculty’s students and graduates. He pinpointed that the employment forum was held with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mostafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, and in the presence of Engineer/ Osama Kamal, former Minister of Petroleum and President of the Egyptian Association for Engineers.

The ERU President asserted that the job fair stems from the university’s endeavor to create a strong link between academic study and the labor market, and that the university spares no effort in providing students with the opportunity to learn about the requirements of the modern labor market and the skills that must be developed for achieving professional success. The forum is also considered a distinguished platform for showing the students’ skills and talents, as it allows them to submit their resumes and introduce their projects and achievements to company representatives, as well as providing training and work opportunities for final-year students to advance them, so as to become equipped with academic knowledge and practical experiences which suit the requirements and challenges of the labor market. This gives them a competitive advantage that puts them at the forefront of graduates, giving them greater opportunities in the labor market.

In the same context, Dr. Alaa Mohamed Ahmed Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU, stated that the Employment and Training Forum for the faculty’s students and graduates has succeeded in attracting a selection of the largest companies in the areas of industry, communications, construction and urban development in Egypt, such as: “Arab Contractors Company”, “Al-Haziq Company”, “Hassan Allam Company”, as well as other companies that work in the field of construction and building. The forum was also attended by representatives of the industrial and communications sectors: “Sigma Company”, “HDL”, “Arab Security”, “ONAS”, “Niletronics”, “Teletec”, “ACT”, and “SKY Group”.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU added that the forum was also attended by representatives of “New Egyptian Countryside Development Company,” and also representatives of the Employment Committee of the Engineers’ Syndicate, including: Engineer/ Bahaa Al-Toukhy, Committee Rapporteur, Engineer/ Khaled Azmy, and Engineer/ Mona Al-Zeiny, Deputy Head of Employment Committee. Engineer/ Hassan Abd-el-Alim, Head of Engineers’ Syndicate in Suez and Chairman of Helwan Fertilizers Company, also participated in the forum.

Dr. Alaa Mohamed Ahmed Al-Batsh explained that the forum targets final-year students and recent graduates to help them get training and job opportunities and to learn about the requirements of the current and future labor market from experts and distinguished company representatives in various engineering fields at both local and global levels.

 

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU indicated that the forum resulted in several surprises for graduates, as follows:

– Arab Contractors Company:

1- Employment of the top ten graduates from the class of 2023.

2- Employment of the top ten graduates from the class of 2024.

3- A discount for graduates on diploma fees offered by the company in all specializations.

 

– “Al-Haziq Company”:

1- Employment of two top graduates from the class of 2024.

 

– “New Egyptian Countryside Development Company”:

1- Employment of two top graduates from the class of 2024.

2- Financial and moral support in scientific or research competitions, amounting to an amount of LE. 100,000.

In the same context, Dr. Fatima Shaltout, Head of the Construction Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU, highlighted the importance of the forum and the need to hold it annually to serve as a link between the faculty’s graduates and the labor market and to provide them with suitable employment and training opportunities in mega specialized companies, so that the faculty’s graduates become distinguished and able to compete in the labor market, at local, regional, and international levels.

In a related context, Dr. Faten Labib, Head of the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU, welcomed the guests from participating companies, specialists and public figures at the forum. She pointed out that, on the sidelines of the forum, a company exhibition was opened to allow the faculty’s graduates to present their CVs for easier communication with companies.

Dr. Ibrahim Mosaad, Head of the Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU, asserted that an open discussion was held between the guests and attendees. The students and faculty members asked some questions to the guests in order to benefit from their distinguished expertise.

Dr. Shaimaa Mustafa, Head of the Communications Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU, highlighted the importance of this forum and praised the words of the guests, directing important advice to students to work continuously on developing their skills in order to advance the nation and achieve the state’s vision for achieving sustainable development through engineering projects.

The ceremony was finally concluded with honoring the guests representing the companies which participated in the forum.
