Learn About the Available Programs and Career Opportunities for Graduates of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University
Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University (ERU), announced that the university welcomes new students who have completed the Egyptian Thanaweya Amma or its equivalent to join one of its eight faculties: Pharmacy, Engineering, Oral and Dental Medicine, Business Administration, Economics and Business Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Arts, Fine Arts, and Al-Alsun and Technical Languages.
Since its establishment, the university has been committed—under the full support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mostafa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees—to achieving its vision of becoming one of the leading Egyptian, Arab, and international universities by offering distinguished academic programs and providing students with a wide range of educational, research, sports, cultural, social, and recreational activities.
Dr. Sherif Fakhry explained that the Faculty of Engineering currently offers five distinguished academic programs, all of which award degrees accredited by the Supreme Council of Universities under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE). To date, the faculty has graduated 15 cohorts of highly qualified engineers who enjoy an excellent reputation in local, regional, and international labor markets.
The Faculty currently offers the following programs:
– Construction Engineering
– Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering
– Communications Engineering
– Architecture Engineering
– Computer Engineering
The faculty is equipped with advanced laboratories and teaching workshops. In addition to NAQAAE accreditation, all programs are accredited by the Federation of Arab Engineers. Four programs—Communications Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, Construction Engineering, and Architecture Engineering—have already received NAQAAE accreditation, while the newly established Computer Engineering Program will apply for accreditation after graduating its first cohort, in accordance with the applicable regulations.
Dr. Sherif Fakhry added that the Faculty organizes an annual Career Fair in cooperation with leading companies in relevant industries, serving as a bridge between students, graduates, and the labor market by providing training and employment opportunities.
Advantages of the Engineering Programs
In the same context, Dr. Alaa Mohamed El-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, highlighted that the faculty’s programs offer numerous advantages compared with similar programs at other universities.
Communications Engineering Program
The program is supported by distinguished academic and research staff and has established partnerships with major organizations in the fields of information technology and telecommunications to enhance students’ professional skills. These partnerships include a collaboration with Huawei, through which the Huawei Academy was established at the university under the supervision of the Communications Engineering Department. Students participating in the academy have achieved outstanding results both locally and internationally.
The faculty has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Egyptian Space Agency to collaborate in space engineering and satellite technology. As part of this cooperation, a satellite research laboratory has been established within the faculty. In addition, the university launched the Tele Titans Scientific Society for Communications Engineering students.
Graduates of the Communications Engineering Program can pursue careers in:
– Governmental and private telecommunications companies.
– Network design, management, and telecommunications technology companies.
– Local and international engineering firms and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.
– Specialized engineering positions within the police and armed forces.
Architecture Engineering Program
The Architecture Engineering Program offers a distinguished curriculum that prepares graduates to compete successfully in local and regional markets.
Graduates may work as:
– Architectural Designers
– Site Engineers
– Shop Drawing Engineers
– Architectural Documentation Specialists
– Urban Planning and City Development Engineers
– Architectural Technical Supervisors and Managers
– Architectural Researchers
– Project Coordinators and Planners
– Architectural Development Engineers in commercial or industrial sectors
– Heritage Conservation and Historic Building Restoration Specialists
Construction Engineering Program
The Construction Engineering Program provides extensive employment opportunities in planning, managing, and constructing buildings, roads, bridges, airports, and dams.
The program combines Civil Engineering with Project Management, enabling graduates to work as:
– Structural Design Engineers
– Site Engineers
– Technical Office Engineers
– Survey Engineers
– Cost Estimation Engineers
– Planning and Scheduling Engineers
– Quality Control and Quality Assurance Engineers
– Project Monitoring Engineers
– Contracts Engineers
– Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Engineers

Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Program
This program is considered one of the most promising engineering disciplines due to the increasing demand for specialists in this field. It integrates Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, and Robotics.
Graduates can pursue careers in factories, engineering companies, and local, regional, and international organizations involved in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced technological systems. They can also implement modern electronic control systems in industrial machinery and automation applications, particularly in hazardous environments such as space exploration, deep-sea operations, underground mining, mine detection, and high-precision medical procedures.
Computer Engineering Program
The newly established Computer Engineering Program aims to graduate engineers capable of developing software, ensuring software quality, working with cloud computing, mobile computing, embedded systems, information networks, and cybersecurity.
The program combines both hardware and software engineering, giving graduates a competitive advantage in the technology sector.
Career opportunities for graduates include:
– Software Engineering: Developing computer applications, mobile applications, and websites using programming languages such as Python and Java.
– Embedded Systems Development: Designing and programming embedded electronic boards and microcontrollers used in smart devices, vehicles, and industrial equipment.
– Internet of Things (IoT): Connecting physical devices to cloud platforms for remote monitoring, control, and data analysis.
