Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abd-el-Naby, President of the Egyptian Russian University (ERU), announced that the university celebrated the graduation of five cohorts from its faculties – Pharmacy, Engineering, Oral and Dental Medicine, Management, Economics and Business Technology, and Al-Alsun & Technical Languages). This event coincided with the university’s 20th anniversary and was held as a grand, impressive ceremony on campus, with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mostafa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The event was held in the presence of an elite group – including prominent figures in higher education and scientific research, business leaders, public figures, and parents – amidst an atmosphere filled with pride, honor, joy, and a sense of achievement, as the graduates have been equipped with knowledge and learning, ready to compete in the labor market and fulfill their duty toward their home nation.
The University President emphasized that the university’s doors would remain open to its graduates, offering them access to postgraduate programs, research centers, and continuous training to keep pace with scientific advancements. He urged the graduates to enter the labor fields with diligence and dedication, actively contributing to the nation’s development journey.
In the same context, Dr. Mohamed Ehab Fattouh, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the ERU, congratulated the faculty graduates and the parents who stood by their children through every step of the way – showing patience, making sacrifices, and offering steadfast support – until this joyful moment was reached, making them true partners in this success.
On his part, Dr. Gamil Abdullah, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the ERU, stated that today marks not merely the conclusion of an academic stage, but the birth of new leaders in the noble profession of pharmacy – a calling that embodies the values of compassion and giving. He highlighted that the faculty graduates have made arduous effort, and have shown genuine diligence and academic dedication within classrooms and laboratories, and today they are reaping the fruits of the seeds sown by both themselves and their esteemed families, who deserve the utmost appreciation and praise for their great support throughout this journey. He urged the graduates to serve as ambassadors for their faculty and to continuously hone their skills through ongoing learning, since the pharmacist stands as the first line of defense for human health.
In a related context, Dr. Alaa Mohamed Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, urged graduates to take pride in graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU – a prestigious academic institution that has prepared generations of engineers who have contributed, and continue to contribute, to national construction, development, and service. In his speech, he added that, throughout their years of studies, the Faculty was committed to equipping them with knowledge and expertise, reinforcing their applied skills, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities, and preparing them to meet labor market demands and future challenges amidst rapid scientific and technological advancements. He advised the graduates to recognize that graduation is not the end of the road, but rather the beginning of a new phase that requires hard work, diligence, and the assumption of responsibility. He urged them to make continuous learning and self-development integral parts of their journeys – keeping pace with the latest developments in their areas and remaining always ready to learn and develop their skills. He noted that the faculty welcomes those wishing to pursue postgraduate studies alongside their careers, emphasizing that the process of professional and personal skill development and self-improvement never stops. He called upon them to serve as exemplary ambassadors for the Faculty of Engineering of the Egyptian Russian University, upholding its name in a manner befitting its history and stature, and embodying the knowledge, values, sense of belonging, and responsibility they acquired there. He also urged them to perform their duties with honesty and integrity, wishing them all a future filled with success, excellence, and meaningful contributions to their dear homeland, Egypt.
In the same context, Dr. Khaled Tawfik, Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at the ERU, highlighted that the graduation ceremony marks a day of reaping the fruits for the graduates as well as for every father and mother. He urged the graduates to carry with them the faculty’s values: mastery, responsibility, and respect for the human being, making these values a guiding light for their professional journeys. He added, “Remember that your homeland, Egypt, expects much from you; it is building its future through the efforts of its enlightened youth and opening up broad horizons for knowledge, research, and innovation. Be part of this honorable national endeavor, and contribute, through your knowledge and ethics, to building a healthcare system worthy of this nation’s greatness.” He also expressed thanks to the university administration for this distinguished ceremony, which was organized under the supervision of Ms. Basma Abd-el-Latif.
On her part, Dr. Al-Tahera Al-Sayed Hameya, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology at the ERU, stated that this ceremony represents the culmination of the combined efforts of parents, students, faculty members, and university administration. These efforts aim at preparing a new generation of accountants, administrators, data analysts, and business technology specialists capable of competing both locally and internationally, professionals who combine solid academic knowledge, skills, and commitment with a deep sense of belonging to their beloved homeland. She paid tribute to the dedication and hard work demonstrated by the students throughout their academic studies and prior education, expressing pride in the faculty’s innovative, non-traditional programs that keep pace with modern developments, and most specifically in the areas of artificial intelligence, data analytics technology, and smart applications.
Dr. Makarem Al-Ghamry, Dean of the Faculty of Languages at the ERU, urged graduates to demonstrate sincerity and dedication, and to continue their research and learning in order to keep pace with the latest developments in their professional field: Languages and Modern Translation Technologies, while maintaining ties with their alma mater. She added that the degree they have earned is among the most significant documents of their lives, as it will open doors to success in their professional careers, whether within Egypt or abroad. Extending her congratulations to the new graduates, she called upon them to perform their role in building society, forging bridges with different international communities, and raising cultural awareness among peoples. She also urged them to continue exerting efforts and making contributions, ensuring the nation’s flag continues to fly high thanks to the endeavors of its genius, honorable, and hardworking citizens, ones just like them.
The seventh graduating cohort ceremony was attended by: Dr. Essam Khamis, Advisor to the University President for Academic Development; Dr. Hanaa Abd-el-Rahman, Advisor to the University President for Student Activities; Dr. Ahmed Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine; Mr. Tarek Belal, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Badr and Al-Shorouk Educational Administration; Engineer/ Said Farag, Chairman of Sibmatic Company and an external member of the University Council; Engineer/ Mohamed Shalaby Swelam, member of the Roads and Traffic Committee and the Entrepreneurship Committee at the Syndicate of Engineers, and Head of the Small and Micro-Industries Association in Badr City; Dr. Mohamed Al-Behairy from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence; and a number of university faculty members, public figures, and parents.
