Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Program.. Egyptian Russian University's Faculty of Engineering Organizes an employment fair to Connect Graduates with Companies.. Photos

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdelnabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that in the continuous pursuit of the university to achieve its vision of excellence and in building strategic coordination with major industrial institutions, contributing to the development of the educational process and practical practices, and linking studies with the labor market, an emplyment fair was organized for the graduates of “Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering” program at the Faculty of Engineering of the university. The event was attended by a group of major companies in the field to provide job and training opportunities for students and graduates of the program. He added that employment fair was held with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mostafa, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, and in the presence of Brigade Engineer Mostafa Hadhoud, Chairman of the Entrepreneurship and Medium Enterprises Committee and Industry at the Engineers Syndicate and former Governor of Beheira.

 

In a related context, Dr. Alaa Mohamed Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that the fair successfully achieved its target by providing a number of job opportunities for graduates of the “Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering” department, offered by participating companies as well as the Employment Committee of the Engineers Syndicate. He emphasized the importance of the fair and the need for it to be held annually to serve as a link between the college graduates and the labor market, providing them with suitable job and training opportunities. He also mentioned that a scientific seminar titled “Industry and Energy – Egypt’s Vision (2030)” was held on the sidelines of the fair.

 

Dr. Ibrahim Massad, Head of the Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering of the Egyptian Russian University, stated that the fair targets final-year students and recent graduates to help them find training and job opportunities and learn about the current and future labor market requirements from experts, as well as to learn different skills needed to obtain a good job opportunity. He praised the achievement of some students from the department, who won first place in the VALEO company’s graduation project competition for Egyptian universities with their “Level 3 Autonomous Vehicle Project”, as well as another group of students from the department who won first place in the drone competition at the Military Technical College, and were honored by the Minister of Defense after the competition’s activities ended.

 

The Head of the Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering of the Egyptian Russian University thanked the university administration, represented by the university president and the college dean, for their cooperation and for overcoming all obstacles until the students of the department achieved these advanced positions in important competitions. He also extended his thanks to the success partners from the teaching staff and the assistant staff of the Mechatronics and Robotics Department, as well as he also thanked who participated in the event and helped in preparing for the fair.

 

It is worth mentioning that the job fair was attended by: “Engineer Ahmed El-Shenawy, Electrical Energy Consultant at the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Engineer Mohamed Shalaby, Rapporteur of the Entrepreneurship and Medium Projects Committee and Industry at the Engineers Syndicate, Dr. Hesham Hamid, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Mostafa Saleh, Nuclear Energy Expert, Engineer Ayman Shoukry from SIGMA Group and SIGMA Industrial Company, Engineering Consultant Bahaa El-Toukhy, Chairman of the Employment Committee at the Engineers Syndicate, Major General Hossam El-Shahawy, Executive Director of the Egyptian Investors Union, Engineer Khaled Sheibah from LVX Company, and Engineer Hesham Yahya from HST Company”.

 

At the end of the conference, Dr. Alaa Mohamed Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, honored the senior guests, and an open discussion was held between the guests, attendees, and students of the “Mechatronics and Robotics Department”, as well as the teaching staff, where many questions were posed to the guests to benefit from their unique experiences. The conference was organized under the supervision of: “Dr. Omar Fathy, “conference Coordinator” of the Mechatronics and Robotics Department at the college, Dr. Wafaa Mostafa, Dr. Osama Khreis, Dr. Mostafa Saleh, Assistant Professor, Engineer Sayed Atef, Engineer Mohamed Khaled Farouk, Engineer Ali Issa, Engineer Roweida Sobeh, Engineer Mirna Malaka, and Engineer Tasnim Hegazy.

Some of the department’s graduates who participated in organizing the conference included: Abdel Latif Ramadan, Afnan Mamdouh, Rowan Badeer, Safinaz El-Hadidi, Abdel Rahman Salah, and Mariam Mohamed.
