As part of the university’s commitment to supporting students’ mental well-being, the Psychological Counseling Unit organized an awareness day in collaboration with the Egyptian Red Crescent under the title “Mental Health Is Not a Luxury… It’s a Responsibility.” The event aimed to raise students’ awareness of the importance of mental health and its direct impact on their social and academic lives.

The day included a series of interactive activities and events that focused on introducing students to the concept of mental health and how to maintain it while facing life and study pressures. It also highlighted the importance of seeking psychological help when needed and the role of community support in promoting emotional balance.

The psychological support team conducted a special Art Therapy workshop, which explored ways of expressing inner emotions through drawing, colors, and creative activities. The session helped students explore their feelings and express them in a positive and safe manner.

At the end of the day, Dr. Soha Samir, Director of the Psychological Counseling Unit at the university, affirmed the unit’s commitment to continuing its programs and activities aimed at enhancing mental health awareness—based on the belief that caring for oneself is the first step toward both academic and personal success.
