Part of the ERU "Youth Without Smoking" Campaign Activities
Believing in the importance of raising awareness about the harmful effects of smoking and encouraging students to adopt a healthy, smoke-free lifestyle, and to provide a safe learning environment for all, the Egyptian-Russian University launched a campaign to reduce smoking on campus under the slogan “Youth Without Smoking.”
The campaign activities included direct awareness sessions for students, interactive activities, and the distribution of informational brochures in lecture halls and gathering areas on campus. These activities aimed to highlight the serious harm smoking causes to physical and mental health, correct many misconceptions about the difficulty of quitting smoking, and provide the necessary support for students wishing to take the step of quitting this harmful habit.
It is worth noting that the campaign witnessed effective cooperation from university students, as well as from the Badr Medical District. The university hosted members of the Health Education Department from Badr Medical District to participate in raising awareness on campus. We are committed to continuing our efforts, believing that building awareness requires continuity and perseverance
