Unit Goals
The Psychological and Social Counseling Unit at the Egyptian Russian University seeks to achieve a set of public goals, including:
Creating a safe and supportive environment for students throughout all faculties.
Psychological counseling for students in all colleges and academic levels
Counseling for academically struggling students.
Counseling for students who violate behavioral rules.
Holding a number of awareness seminars for students, with participation from faculty and specialized staff.
Holding a number of awareness seminars targeting administrative staff, aiming to raise awareness about dealing with students.
The unit also seeks to achieve a set of specialized objectives by offering specific lectures to the target groups.

A- Psychological Counseling:
Students may sometimes face a range of difficulties and challenges that affect their daily university life. The unit provides support to students in the following ways:
Helping new students socially adapt to the university environment.
Assisting students in coping with psychological pressures resulting from academic stress and alienation.
Developing effective plans to solve students' social problems.
Contributing to solving academic problems caused by psychological issues students may face.
Providing support in dealing with any other problems or challenges students may encounter.
B: Special Education:
In the area of special education, the unit aims to assist individuals with special needs and disabilities in coping with their conditions and meeting their specific needs. It also helps them address a range of learning-related challenges, including:
Dealing with academic underachievement, developing behavioral intervention plans, and following up on their implementation with the student’s college administration.
Training students in effective study methods and raising awareness of negative study habits to help eliminate them.
Therapeutic intervention for students with behavioral and emotional problems.
Contributing to solving academic problems caused by psychological issues students may face.
Providing support in dealing with any other problems or challenges students may encounter.
