Reasons for the Visit of Egyptian Russian University Management Students to the National Organization for Military Production
Dr. Tahera El-Sayed Hamieh, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology at the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the faculty administration organized a training visit for 36 students under the supervision of eight faculty members and teaching assistants. The visit was to the Center of Scientific and Technological Excellence, affiliated with the National Organization for Military Production, located in Al-Nahda City, Cairo. She highlighted that the visit was supported by Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mostafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, and under the patronage of Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, the University President.
The Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology at the Egyptian Russian University added that the visit aligns with the constructive cooperation between the university and national scientific, technological, and research centers. This collaboration aims to leverage the centers’ capabilities to enhance students’ skills and prepare them for the job market.
The visit began with the center’s head, Dr. Eng. Emad Askar, welcoming the faculty delegation in his office. He greeted the visitors, facilitated introductions, and discussed potential avenues for collaboration. Dr. Hamieh expressed her gratitude to all the center’s employees and leadership for providing this opportunity to learn about the center’s efforts and operations and for their warm hospitality.
Dr. Hamieh proposed cooperation with the center for student training, an idea well-received by the chairman. He responded by discussing various collaboration formats, including bilateral agreements, summer training programs, or student enrollment in the center’s available training programs.
The Dean affirmed that the introductory seminar witnessed active engagement between students and faculty members from the Egyptian Russian University and the center’s staff. The faculty delegation shared ideas and inquiries with the Center of Scientific and Technological Excellence’s team, who welcomed and interacted positively with them.
Dr. Emad Askar, Head of the Center of Scientific and Technological Excellence at the National Organization for Military Production, welcomed the faculty delegation. He introduced the National Organization for Military Production and its role in meeting the needs of Egypt’s military, defense, and civil sectors. He also presented the center’s mission, activities, and contributions across various sectors, both domestically and internationally.
He emphasized the center’s development into an incubator for student and employee ideas aimed at advancing industries and projects in Egypt. He highlighted the adoption of digital transformation at all levels and sectors, stressing the center’s pivotal role in this transformation, capacity building, and local talent development. He also outlined the main challenges they face and their efforts to overcome them.
Dr. Askar then led the delegation on a tour of the center’s laboratories, including the Synchronous Planning Lab, the Chemistry and Resource Technology Lab, and the Artificial Intelligence Lab. The visit concluded with a commemorative group photo with the students and faculty members.
It is noteworthy that the delegation was received by key figures from the center, including the Chairman of the Board and his assistants, the Director of Human Resources, the Director of General Planning and Projects, the Supervisor of the Chemistry and Resource Technology Research Sector, the Supervisor of the General Administration for Networks and Information Systems, the Director of the Synchronous Planning Center, the Director of Marketing and Promotion, the Director of Training, and the Director of Public Relations.
