Reasons for the visit of the delegation of the Supreme Council of Universities to the Digital Transformation Center at the Egyptian Russian University.

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Naby, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the university is keeping pace with the state’s strategy in the field of digital transformation to achieve a knowledge society, and in view of the role that this transformation plays in achieving a competitive advantage and creating a qualitative shift in the goals that the university seeks to achieve, the campus received a committee from the Center for Electronic and Cognitic Services at the Supreme Council of Universities, headed by Dr. Muhammad Hassan Jadallah, Director of the Central Training Unit, and membership of: Dr. John Fayez, Deputy Director of the Electronic and Cognitic Services Center at the Supreme Council of Universities, Mohamed Attia, Tests Coordinator at the Central Training Unit, and Rehab Ahmed, Member of the Tests Coordinator at the Central Training Unit, to inspect the Digital Transformation Center at the university’s headquarters to accredit the center to issue the Fundamentals of Digital Transformation Certificate (FDTC), the visit was sponsored by Dr. Muhammad Kamal Mustafa, Chairman of the University Council.

In the same context, Dr. Essam Khamis, advisor to the president of the Egyptian Russian University for Academic Development, indicated that the university is implementing the digital transformation system in all its colleges and sectors, while canceling all paper transactions. Thus, it becomes one of the universities that use modern electronic systems in management and educational service in accordance with Egypt’s vision 2030.

For his part, Dr. Hisham Fathi, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that digital transformation in universities has become a modern trend that is compatible with the nature of the era’s changes and requirements, and that the visit of the delegation to the Electronic and Cognitive Services Center at the Supreme Council of Universities comes within the framework of completing the university’s efforts for digital transformation and the use of systems. Information and advanced electronic applications to make sound decisions that achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) and Egypt’s vision for the year (2030)… noting that the university is striving to create such protocols based on the university’s educational and pioneering role in achieving the state’s strategy, especially building the human being so that it keeps pace with all developments and to disseminate information technology knowledge within society and access applicable sources of knowledge to a large number of target groups on a large scale in the university and civil society in all its categories and with high quality.

In a related context, Professor Ikram Mohamed, Secretary General of the Egyptian Russian University, confirmed that the university is considered one of the universities serious in implementing the digital transformation policy to begin granting certificates through the “Digital Transformation Center” inside the university headquarters because it is one of the main and basic requirements for enrolling all groups in the university community and  civil Information Technology and its applications, such as: “providing fast digital services to facilitate those dealing with colleges and university facilities in the shortest time, benefiting from the use of “artificial intelligence” technology in providing advanced administrative services and mobile applications.. Also, the Basics of Digital Transformation Certificate is considered the official and basic alternative for many certificates in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Council of Universities.

In the same context, Dr. Tamer Saleh, Director of the Digital Transformation Center at the Egyptian Russian University, stated that the reason for the visit from the Electronic and Cognatic Services Center Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities is to begin the steps to accredit the digital transformation training center on the university campus to determine its readiness and to activate training on the programs that qualify for obtaining the Basics of Digital Transformation certificate… Pointing out that the Chairman of the Committee and the accompanying delegation praised the equipment of the University’s Digital Transformation Center and the extent of its readiness for accreditation, in addition to the excellence of the infrastructure of the University’s facilities in terms of Internet speed, laboratories, and various training devices and supplies.

The director of the Digital Transformation Center at the Egyptian Russian University added that the transformation to the digital society is the responsibility of everyone, whether the state or the citizens, to obtain a better standard of living in a safe society in light of the global changes that require transformation to digital management in all fields to confront global challenges… revealing that digital transformation has become a general requirement that most countries in the world have followed for a long time. Digital transformation saves time and effort for both the individual and the institution, in addition to contributing to reducing corruption rates and eliminating bureaucracy in its negative sense.

The reception of the Electronic and Cognatic Services Center Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities from the university was attended by: Prof. Issam Khamis – Advisor to the University President for Academic Development, Dr. Shaima Mustafa, Head of the Communications Department at the University’s College of Engineering, and Dr. Marwa Hamed and Dr. Mohamed Maher, doctors in the Department of Communications Engineering. Christina Fouad, Secretary-General of the University’s Digital Transformation Center, Tasneem Nasr El-Din, the Center’s information officer, and Mustafa Ali, the training coordinator.
