Round Table on Promoting Human Rights Culture at the Russian-Egyptian University

To support the efforts of the Egyptian state in the field of promoting human rights culture, and seeking to instill the values of tolerance, acceptance of others, and encouraging students to participate in this regard, and developing their skills in exercising the right to differ and the controls of freedom of expression. The Russian-Egyptian University organized, under the auspices of Dr. Sherif Fakhri, President of the University, a round table on promoting human rights culture.
The dialogue was moderated by Dr. Shehata Gharib, ERU consultant for Institutional Development and former Vice President of Assiut University, with the participation of a number of students, faculty members, and employees as representatives of the university colleges.
A discussion took place on mechanisms for promoting human rights culture through integrating it into educational curricula, holding seminars, conferences, and workshops in cooperation with national institutions and civil society organizations.
