Unit goal
Within the framework of the protocol signed between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Egyptian-Russian University, and in light of the work of the unit’s axes, the unit aims to support students and university staff from socially and economically disadvantaged groups by providing social welfare services and financial assistance, fostering a spirit of participation and solidarity within the university community, and contributing to achieving a fair and safe educational environment for all.
Unit Mission
The Social Solidarity Unit at the Egyptian Russian University seeks to provide a social protection and care umbrella for students and staff in need through transparent and sustainable support mechanisms, while connecting them with development and training programs that contribute to their academic and professional empowerment and enhance their effective integration into university and community life.
Services Provided by the Unit
The Social Solidarity Unit at the Egyptian Russian University operates on three axes:
Awareness and Character Building Axis
- Holding seminars and discussion panels to build character
- Distributing awareness brochures and leaflets
- Online and live awareness courses
Knowledge and Experience Support Axis
- Field visits to development projects under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Solidarity
- Part-time volunteering for projects or groups served by the Ministry of Social Solidarity
Social Protection and Economic Empowerment Axis
- Social protection and development services
- Rehabilitation and integration services for persons with disabilities
In addition to:
- Providing scholarships to outstanding university students
- Disbursing financial aid to students struggling to pay tuition fees
- Holding training camps for university students, organized by the Ministry of Social Solidarity
- Financial support (non-refundable grants) for students from Takaful and Karama families
- Holding exhibitions for productive families and student participation to showcase their productive projects
- Enhancing students' role in thinking outside the box and embarking on the world of entrepreneurship
