Students of the Egyptian Russian University win 5 medals in the Huawei competition...

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Naby, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that in accordance with the protocol signed with the international company Huawei; The “Huawei Academy” participated on campus in the Huawei Global ICT Competition, and the students of the “Huawei Academy” at the university won gold and silver medals in the competition, in which Huawei academies competed at the republic level in many of the most universities and institutes at the republic level. Noting that the university’s students participated in the “Huawei International” competition with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Al-Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.

In the same context, Dr. Hisham Fathi, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and General Supervisor of the Huawei Academy at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that the Huawei Academy in the university struggles to  train students and provide them with the skills necessary for the labor market, and to spread the culture of communications technology and artificial intelligence, and that this competition aims to foster and build the future generation of local professionals in the field of information and communications technology to contribute to achieving digital transformation plans and developing strategies that rely on information technology… adding that the university students got medals in the competition from among a large number of students who participated in the competition from all universities. For his part, Dr. Tamer Saleh, a lecturer in the Department of Communications at the Faculty of Engineering and Executive Director of the Huawei Academy at the Egyptian Russian University, confirmed that this success encourages the Academy to continue its attitude towards motivating students of university colleges to participate in various forums, whether “local or international” to develop creative thinking skills, set up the spirit of innovation, follow up every scientific development, and move toward expanding self-learning methods instead of being limited to traditional indoctrination methods in education, and working to integrate them with advanced technology.

The Executive Director of the Huawei Academy at the Egyptian Russian University stated that the participation of university college students in the “Huawei” competition qualifies them in the future to be certified trainers within academic and educational facilities in the “field of information technology” which has become a vital field for leading the development of societies. He revealed that the students who participated in the Huawei competition for “Best Performing Academies” won a gold medal and four silver medals according to the following:

1- Student: Mahmoud Saber Ali, gold and silver in “the field of networks and cloud.”

2- Student: Mohamed Salah El-Din Farhat, silver in “Networks”.

3- Student: Mohamed Saleh, silver in “Networks”.

4- Student: Malak Ibrahim Muhammad Abu Al-Saud, silver in “Cloud Field”.
