The Competitive Programming competition activities at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian Russian University

Under the auspices of Dr. Sherif Fakhry, President of the University, and Dr. Hisham Fathy, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, and under the supervision of members of the faculty and the faculty’s teaching assistant staff, the “Competitive Programming” competition was held with to enhance the spirit of cooperation between students, and develop their ability to create, innovate and perform under pessure through competition. Moreover, it desires to motivate programmers to solve computer problems in a short time. The competition took place among 17 teams of students from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and the Faculty of Management, Economics and Business Technology. The competition lasted for 3 hours, during which the participants in different teams competed to solve software challenges, and all the rules of ICPC reality simulation were applied on a smaller scale.

During the competition, participants were provided with a list of computer problems that they had to solve in a specific time.

The evaluation process of teams was based on the number of problems they solved correctly and in the shortest possible time. Competitive Programming competitions are widely used in the technical industry to test the skills and abilities of programmers, as well as to recruit new talents in the computing field. These competitions are considered an opportunity for programmers to exchange experiences and communicate with the global computing community
