The Egyptian Russian University and the National Academy of Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities Signing a Memorandum of Understanding
Within the framework of the Egyptian Russian University adopting an ambitious plan to serve the community, and to enhance the state’s ongoing efforts to ensure the rights of people with disabilities, support and build their capacities in line with Egypt’s vision for sustainable development 2030, and under the auspices of Professor Sherif Fakhry – President of the University, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Egyptian Russian University and the National Academy of Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities affiliated to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
This cooperation aims to integrate and empower people with disabilities in university education, disseminate information and communication technology tools and assistive technologies and make them available to all categories of people with disabilities in the university community, educate students, researchers and teaching staff about assistive technology. It also aims to establish joint research programs related to technology tools and their application in the field of health disabilities and rehabilitation as well as related diagnostic medical studies that include artificial intelligence and machine learning, digital modeling and manufacturing, virtual and augmented reality. Moreover, it helps encouraging entrepreneurship (business incubators and accelerators) in the field of assistive technologies.
