The Egyptian Russian University announces the winners of the Start-up companies Olympiad.


Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Naby, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the activities of the final stage of the Start-up compaies Olympiad in universities, inside the university campus, have been completed, which is considered one of the most prominent competitions in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship, and was held with joint support from the Fund for Welfare of Innovators and Geniuses of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Egyptian Russian University, believing that students and researchers at the university are the main engine of innovation, and that their effective participation in competitions is evidence of their commitment to develop their skills and abilities, and of their insistence on transforming ideas into tangible realities. This also comes in light of the state’s interest in the entrepreneurship sector, because of its importance in accelerating the pace of growth of the national economy and achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The President of the Egyptian Russian University pointed out that the activities were attended by: Dr. Diaa Khalil, Executive Director of the Fund for the Care of Innovators and Geniuses, Major General Staff Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electronics Factory of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, deans of the university’s faculties, members of the committee for evaluating and arbitrating students’ and researchers’ projects, and a number of Members of the university’s teaching and supporting staff and the guests of the ceremony, parents of students who won advanced positions in the Olympiad, in addition to a group of heads and secretaries of new city agencies and the Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi noted that participating in the Start-up companies Olympiad in universities comes with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Al-Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, with the aim of enhancing the spirit of entrepreneurship among students and researchers at the University, motivating them to develop their ideas into successful business projects, and demonstrating the University’s ability to provide financial support and infrastructure, promote the Olympics, and absorb the participating student energies, as the Egyptian-Russian University students hosted the students of the Higher Technological Institute in the 6th of October, the Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology in the 6th of October, and the National Planning Institute, in addition to its students participating in the Olympics, over the course of 15 training days, with a total of 120 training hours for the participating teams.
For his part, Dr. Diaa Khalil, Executive Director of the Innovators and Geniuses Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, praised the good organization and level of the participating teams of researchers and students, and the infrastructure and technology enjoyed by the Egyptian-Russian University facilities. He revealed that the Olympics demonstrated diverse and pioneering projects in multiple fields from technology to health, education and energy, the participating teams demonstrated a superior ability to innovate, creative thinking, teamwork, and determination to achieve success and excellence.
In the same context, Dr. Essam Khamis, advisor to the President of the Egyptian Russian University for Academic Development, explained that the university supports promising ideas and projects, and works to provide the appropriate environment to develop their skills and creativity. From this standpoint, the university administration has been keen to cooperate with the Fund for Welfare of Innovators and Geniuses at the Ministry of Higher Education. And scientific research in the Olympiad.” Pointing out that the number of student teams participating in the student track is (11), and the number of participating teams of faculty members and supporting staff participating in the researchers’ track is (7). These teams consist of more than (60) male and female students and researchers from (4) Faculties: “Pharmacy, Engineering, Management, Economics, Business Technology, and Artificial Intelligence,” which are expected to have a bright future in the entrepreneurship community.
On the same topic, Dr. Said Hassan Ibrahim, coordinator of the Egyptian Russian University with the Innovators and Geniuses Fund, stated that an introduction was presented that explained the university’s vision, which aims to become one of the distinguished universities in education, culture, scientific research, and knowledge, and its aspiration for leadership in line with the “Egypt Vision.” 2030”, especially in the field of knowledge, innovation, entrepreneurship, scientific research and community service.
The coordinator of the Egyptian Russian University with the Fund for Innovators and Geniuses added that the meeting included a presentation of the three training fields: “Business Modeling and Planning – Financial Performance – Pitching Techniques,” then the areas of technical guidance and entrepreneurship. Then the meeting touched on presenting the companies that submitted offers for training and the criteria that led to the selection. One of these companies… revealed that a summary of what was implemented in the event stages of the Olympics was presented, and that these events were a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas and experience among the participants, expand the network of professional relationships, as well as develop the skills of the participants in the technological fields, entrepreneurship fields, and the establishment of startup companies, and then they gave presentations for innovative projects, in the student track and the researchers track, which proved that the Egyptian Russian University has a generation of promising innovators who have the ability to transform their ideas into tangible reality and emerging companies that contribute to the development of society and the economy.
In a related context, Professor Ikram Mohamed, Secretary General of the Egyptian Russian University, confirmed that all financial capabilities and administrative facilities have been provided; In addition to using the halls equipped with modern technologies and the Internet until the end of the events, she pointed out that a decision was issued to accommodate expatriate students participating in: “The Startup companies Olympics” to sleep throughout the period of the qualifying events within the university city to reduce the difficulty of going back and forth from their homes to the university, in addition to the possibility of using university buses for transportation during the Olympics period.
It is worth noting that the participating teams in the Startup Olympiad at the Egyptian Russian University amounted to 18 teams, and they are as follows:

2) The “Think Intelligent” team, from the College of Artificial Intelligence, are: “Mohamed Tawfiq Muhammad Tawfiq Bakr, and Maryam Tawfiq Muhammad Tawfiq Bakr.”
3) The “Dream Achievers” team, from the College of Pharmacy, are: “Dr. Hossam Samir Al-Sawy Suleiman, Dr. Khaled Muhammad Muhammad Al-Say, Dr. Hanan Abdel Fattah Muhammad Ali, Dr. Heba Mustafa Reda Abdel Mohsen, Dr. Muhammad Fawzi Zaki Ali.” Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Muhammad Abbas.

5) “Breathe-DAL Team”, namely: “Prof. Jamil Muhammad Abdullah Ibrahim, A.M. Dr.. At the end of the closing ceremony, Dr. Said Hassan Ibrahim, coordinator of the Egyptian Russian University with the Innovators and Brilliant Fund, announced that 6 projects in the researchers’ track and 6 projects in the students’ track had advanced to the final round, and the names of the winning teams were as follows:
