The Egyptian Russian University honors Ideal Mothers and Distinguished Students...names

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that a celebration was held on campus to honor the exemplary mothers of 2025 and distinguished students in the arts, who participated in a competition to present the most influential work expressing the importance of Egyptian mothers and their impact on society. He noted that this competition is held annually with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mostafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.
In the same context, Ikram Mohamed, Secretary General of the Egyptian Russian University, emphasized that the goal of organizing the annual “Mother’s Day” celebration comes within the framework of strengthening the state’s efforts to empower and support distinguished segments of society, coinciding with Women’s Month and Egypt’s celebration of Mother’s Day. She pointed out that the Mother’s Day celebration comes within the framework of the university’s belief in the societal role of mothers and the importance of strengthening ties and relationships between the university’s internal community and the geographically surrounding community.
The Secretary-General of the Egyptian-Russian University reported that exemplary mothers among the university’s female employees were honored: Bakhita Ahmed Abdel Rahim, Ibtisam El-Sayed, Sabreen Abdel Gawad, Hanan Sayed Zaki, Yasmine Kadry Ahmed, Fatima Sabry, Ghalia Abdel Fattah, and Basma Hassan. She revealed that the Egyptian-Russian University Choir participated in the celebration with a distinctive lyrical pieces about mothers, performed by students Seif Alaa (Faculty of Dentistry) and Nada Mamdouh (Faculty of Fine Arts).

For her part, Dr. Hanaa Abdel Rahman, Advisor to the President of the Egyptian-Russian University for Student Activities, expressed her happiness at organizing such a humanitarian celebration that recognizes the role of Egyptian women in society. She noted that mothers play a pivotal role both within the family and beyond, and extended her thanks and gratitude to them, especially within the university’s various departments and faculties.
The advisor to the President of the Russian Egyptian University for Student Activities added that an exhibition of the students’ works participating in the Mother’s Day competition was presented, and the winners were honored in the presence of their mothers. The winners were:
– Student/ Rodina Mohamed Saad, from the Faculty of Pharmacy, who won the short story “A Mother’s Struggle.”
– Student/ Hazem Akram Abdel Hamid, from the Faculty of Fine Arts, who presented a short film about the role his mother played in his life.
– Student/ Ruqayya Mohamed Salem, from the Faculty of Pharmacy, who won the short story “Jasmine.”
Dr. Hanaa Abdel Rahman stated that inspiring female students from the university were also honored:
– Student/ Nada Mamdouh, from the College of Fine Arts, for her participation in the International Contemporary Ceramics Salon at the Museum of the City of Tunis, Tunisia.
– Student/ Asmaa Mohamed El-Sayed Baz, from the College of Artificial Intelligence, for representing the Egyptian-Russian University in the sixth edition of the Arab Youth Leaders Preparation Program at the University of Sharjah.
The top five greeting cards, containing touching messages sent by students to their mothers, were also displayed. Congratulations and shields were presented to a group of exemplary mothers inside and outside the university in appreciation of their efforts, struggles, and careful follow-up of their children until they reach safety.
On the same topic, Dr. Soha Samir, Director of the Psychological Counseling Unit at the Egyptian-Russian University, stated that the unit’s role is to educate students and university members about various societal issues, ways to overcome the problems they may face, and ways to deal with life’s pressures. It also holds motivational seminars for students and the administrative staff, given their impact. Increasing efficiency and the ability to integrate into society… expressing her happiness at the Egyptian-Russian University’s interest in community issues and mental health.
