The Egyptian Russian University's Faculty of Applied Arts Wins 3rd Place in the Grand Egyptian Museum Competition

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel-Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that, in the interest of developing students’ skills, enhancing their abilities, and linking theoretical study with practical experience, the university supports students’ participation in local and international competitions to showcase their talents and capabilities, acquire various experiences, and contribute to building a creative generation capable of engaging with scientific advancements. He mentioned that students from the Faculty of Applied Arts at the university participated in a competition to design a promotional poster for the Grand Egyptian Museum, organized by “Infinity” Group and “Konica Minolta.” The student, “Ibram Ehab Helmy,” won the “printer” prize and secured third place, thanks to the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.

 

The president of the Egyptian Russian University noted that this achievement comes as part of the university’s commitment as a prestigious educational institution to promoting cultural and creative thinking, believing in the importance of various visual arts in elevating aesthetic taste, and deepening the concept of Egyptian civilization and identity. He expressed his pride in the participation of the faculty’s student team in adding an artistic touch to the Grand Egyptian Museum project.

 

In this regard, Dr. Ezzedine Abdel Aziz, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that representatives of “Infinity” Group and “Konica Minolta,” responsible for organizing the poster design competition for the Grand Egyptian Museum, honored all the students from the “Printing and Packaging Department” who participated in the competition, a total of 10, by awarding them certificates of recognition for their dedication in various branches of the competition.

 

The Dean added that the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University aims for continuous development through competition, whether locally or internationally, and links the faculty’s efforts to the sustainable development goals of society to achieve the state’s Vision 2030. This is done through community participation in competitions organized by major industrial companies, which hones the skills of students in various departments, gives them self-confidence, and prepares them for the job market.

 

The representatives of “Infinity” Group and “Konica Minolta,” responsible for organizing the competition, praised the students’ level and the infrastructure and technological capabilities of the “Faculty of Applied Arts” at the Egyptian Russian University. The delegation included: “Engineer Azza Saleh, Director of Financial Development, Engineer Amir Samir, Marketing Manager, Engineer Ahmed Salah, Director of Equipment Department, and Rania El-Gendy, Director of Logistics Services Department.”

 

It is noteworthy that the students who participated in the competition and were honored are: “Basmala Yasser El-Gendy, Rokia Hani Zubida, Manar Ahmed Mostafa, Yuliana Samir Kamel, Ibram Ehab Helmy, Hashim Mohamed El-Rifai, Yasmin Mohamed Abdel Hadi, Alaa Sherif Afifi, Laila Ashraf Moussa, and Farida Haitham Shawky.”
