The Faculty of Management at the Egyptian Russian University Unveils 20 Graduation Projects.. By Name

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdelnabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that students from the “Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology” at the university discussed 20 graduation projects for the academic year 2023-2024 across various departments. This includes seven projects in the Business Technology program, which is graduating its first class this year, in addition to four projects in the Accounting program, three projects in the Economics and Business Management program with its sub-specialties, three projects in the Finance specialty, one project in the Human Resources specialty, and two projects in the Marketing specialty. These projects reflect the university’s commitment to fostering innovative and entrepreneurial ideas, promoting a culture of scientific research, and encouraging students to address contemporary issues and provide suitable solutions for community service. This policy is supported by Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mustafa, Chairman of the University Board of Trustees.

 

In the same context, Dr. Tahra Hamia, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology at the Egyptian Russian University, confirmed that the seven projects discussed in the “Business Technology – Management Information Systems” program include:

 

  1. A project by student Ahmed Mohamed El-Dessouki, supervised by Dr. Yasser Salah El-Din, a lecturer in Information Systems in the department. The project is an innovative mobile application designed to empower individuals with special needs, titled “Special Heroes,” aiming to facilitate enhanced accessibility, promote independence, and foster social integration for people with disabilities.

 

  1. A project by student Milicia Magid Maher, supervised by Dr. Yasser Salah El-Din, a lecturer in Information Systems in the department. The project is a mobile application for e-commerce of gold jewelry, “Jewelry Online Store Based on Mobile Application,” enabling users to browse and search all gold jewelry products according to their purchasing power.

 

  1. A project by student Theodora Maher George, supervised by Dr. Yasser Salah El-Din, a lecturer in Information Systems in the department. The project is a mobile application specializing in the trade of smartwatches and their accessories, “Smartwatch Online Store Mobile Application,” allowing users to view all global brands at their actual prices.

 

  1. A project by student Mazen Alaa Mohamed, supervised by Dr. Yasser Salah El-Din, a lecturer in Information Systems in the department. The project is a web application for booking flights, “Travel Agency Web Application,” allowing users to create a complete travel program including hotel bookings and transportation.

 

Dr. Tahira Hamia also noted that four projects in the Accounting program, three in the Economics and Business Management program with its sub-specialties, three in the Finance specialty, one in the Human Resources specialty, and two in the Marketing specialty were discussed. The projects in the Accounting department included:

 

– The first project: “The Bidirectional Relationship between Sustainable Development Practices and Financial Performance: An Empirical Study,” prepared by students Mohamed Khaled Ali, Youssef Walid Reda, Mohamed Ismail Sayed, Abdullah Ahmed Abdelaziz, and supervised by Dr. Nehad Hosni Youssef, a lecturer in Accounting in the department.

 

– The second project: “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Financial Performance of Companies in Some Global Cases: An Empirical Study,” prepared by students Souheila Abdelhalim Gaber, Ghada Amr Mohamed, Asmaa Gamal Khalaf, Sara Sameh Abdel Hamid, Habiba Islam Mohamed, and supervised by Dr. Nehad Hosni Youssef, a lecturer in Accounting in the department.

 

– The third project: “The Impact of Applying International Financial Reporting Standards on Corporate Financial Reporting,” prepared by students Nour Ahmed Salah, Ahmed Mohamed Abdelmohsen, Ahmed Mohamed Mohamed, Ahmed El-Gharib Mohamed, Mohamed Haitham Mahmoud, Omar Galal Mowad, and supervised by Dr. Mohamed Farouk Hafez, a lecturer in Accounting in the department.

 

– The fourth project: “The Impact of Big Data on Internal Audit Efficiency,” prepared by students Hazem Bahaa El-Gendy, Mohamed Hatem Mohamed, Mohamed Mostafa Mohamed, Ziad Mohamed Abdel Rahman, Mina Ashraf Nazeer, Islam Ahmed Mohamed, Mohamed Jibril Atia, and supervised by Dr. Mohamed Farouk Hafez, a lecturer in Accounting in the department.

 

Dr. Tahra Hamia stated that students in the Economics department discussed their graduation projects under the supervision of Dr. Engy Raouf, Professor of Economics and Vice Dean, covering new research topics. The Economics department projects included:

 

– The first project: “Foreign Direct Investment and Tax Havens: Friends or Foes? An Applied Study on the Egyptian Economy,” prepared by students Esraa Emad and Yasmin Silmi.

 

– The second project: “The Impact of Renewable Energy Consumption on Unemployment Rates in Egypt,” prepared by students John Mohsen and Shahd Essam.

 

– The third project: “The Impact of Monetary Policy on the Trade Balance,” prepared by students Mohamed Nagih and Habiba Mohamed.

 

Dr. Tahra Hamia added that students in the Human Resources specialty discussed their projects under the supervision of Dr. Dina Farouk Al-Agri, Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the Egyptian Russian University and Al-Azhar University in Cairo. The projects were evaluated by Dr. Sarah El-Manawy, a lecturer in Business Administration at Future University, as an external member, Dr. Mona Hamid Mousa, a lecturer in Business Administration in the faculty, and Dr. Bansia Salah, a lecturer in Business Administration in the faculty, as internal members. The project addressed modern topics and contemporary issues related to human resources in organizations, titled “Work Addiction and Its Relationship to Job Burnout, Applied to Private Universities,” prepared by students Tasneem Mohamed, Ahmed Mohamed, Basma Hazem, Asmaa Abu Bakr, and Youssef Atia.

 

Dr. Tahra Hamia mentioned that the graduation projects in the Finance specialty were supervised by Dr. Osama Wagdy, Assistant Professor of Business Administration and acting Head of the Business Administration Department, and included three projects. The evaluation committee comprised Dr. Dina Farouk, Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Al-Azhar University, and Dr. Mahmoud Hamid, a lecturer in Business Administration at Ain Shams University. The finance projects varied between real estate finance, investment funds, and applications of artificial intelligence in financial markets. The projects were:

 

– The first project: “Using Financial Technology to Solve the Real Estate Finance Problem in Egypt.”

– The second project: “The Impact of Herd Behavior on the Performance of Investment Funds: Evidence from Emerging Markets.”

– The third project: “Using Machine Learning to Predict Stock Prices: International Evidence.”

 

Dr. Tahra Hamia also noted that students in the Marketing program discussed their graduation projects under the supervision of Dr. Mona Hamid Mousa, a lecturer in Business Administration in the faculty. The research projects addressed issues of interest to marketers and business sectors in general, especially in Egypt. The projects are being finalized for publication in prestigious scientific journals in the field. The Marketing department projects included:

 

– “The Impact of Content Marketing on Customer Engagement, An Applied Study on the Clothing and Sports Shoes Industry in the Egyptian Market,” prepared by students Abdelhamid Wagih, Rawan Medhat, Youssef Mansour, Mohamed Osama, and Youssef El-Sayed.

– “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Consumer Purchase Decisions, An Applied Study on the Online Retail Sector in Egypt,” prepared by students Ahmed Medhat, Hassan Mohamed, Adham Osama, Osman Adel, and Shehab Ahmed.
