Within the framework of seeking to develop scientific and innovation thinking among students, and to prepare them for the labor market, the Department of Construction Engineering launched the scientific society of the department under the name “New Vision”, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Alaa Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and under the supervision Prof. Dr. Fatma Shaltout, Head of the Department, and Dr. Mohammed Rabah, and Dr. Ahmed Faisal, lecturers in the department.
In order to activate its role; The Scientific Society organized its first event, a scientific competition under the title: Best Connection Model (BCM).
Eight students’ teams from the faculties of Engineering, Fine Arts, and Applied Arts participated in the competition.
The judging committee consisted of faculty members in the Department of Construction Engineering: Dr. Omnia Farouk, Dr. Ali Al-Rifay, Dr. Ghada Gamal, Dr. Mohammed Gamal .
The first place was won by the MYH team: Yasser Mohy, Hassan Wael, Mayar Ahdy, Mohammed Mohsen & Mohammad Hassan.
The Triple A team won second place and it included the students: Mahmoud Badawy, Al-Haytham Ali, Khaled Suleiman, Hossam Mohammed & Omar Magdy.
The third place was won by The Boss team, which included: Mohammad Al-Sayed, Ahmed Hesham & Ahmed Mogahed.
