Two Engineering Researchers from the Egyptian Russian University Win the Best Master's and PhD Thesis Awards in Mechatronics Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University.

The Egyptian Russian University administration extends its warmest congratulations to Dr. Mohamed Fawzy El-Khatib, Lecturer in the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, for receiving the Best PhD Thesis Award in Mechatronics Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, for the academic year 2023/2024. The university also congratulates Eng. Sayed Atef Ainer, Teaching Assistant in the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, for receiving the Best Master’s Thesis Award in Mechatronics Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, for the academic year 2023/2024.

It’s worth noting that Ain Shams University announced the winners of the Best Master’s/PhD Thesis Awards for the 2023/2024 academic year during the Faculty of Engineering Scientific Conference at the end of last month. Two researchers from the Egyptian Russian University won the Best Master’s and PhD Thesis Awards in Mechatronics Engineering.

Dr. Mohamed Fawzy El-Khatib is a distinguished academic role model. He graduated from the Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Program at the Egyptian Russian University in 2014 as one of the top students in his batch. He then earned an MA degree from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport before completing his academic career with PhD from Ain Shams University with his distinguished thesis entitled “A Proposed Smart and Cost-Effective Controller for Maximum Power Extraction from PV Systems for Different Load Types.”

Eng. Sayed Atef Ainer, a distinguished research expert at the college, also graduated from the Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Program at the Egyptian Russian University in 2017. He was appointed as a teaching assistant at the college as one of the top students in his class. He continued his academic career by pursuing an MA degree from Ain Shams University with a distinguished thesis titled “Investigating the Effect of Various Control Approaches on the Performance of a Soft Robotic Arm.”

This achievement comes within the framework of the university commitment, under the leadership of Professor Sherif Fakhry, to supporting researchers and faculty members and encouraging them to produce innovative research that contributes to serving the engineering and industrial sectors locally and internationally. This achievement also reflects the continuous encouragement of the Faculty of Engineering, represented by Professor Alaa El-Batsh, faculty dean, and Dr. Ibrahim Mosaad, Head of the Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Department.
