Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdelnabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine organized a distinguished celebration on the occasion of World Oral Health Day 2026 under the slogan: “A Happy Mouth is… A Happy Life.”
He noted that the event was held with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mostafa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and comes within the framework of the university’s strategy to enhance its social responsibility and provide healthcare services in the field of oral and dental medicine. The initiative also reflects the university’s leading role as an educational and developmental institution contributing effectively to achieving Egypt Vision 2030, and to building a healthier and brighter future for society.
Dr. Khaled Tawfiq, Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at the university, explained that the celebration witnessed the collaborative efforts of the Pediatric Dentistry Department, with active participation from intern dentists, who presented an exemplary model in organization and awareness. He added that the event was carried out in fruitful cooperation with major international companies, which added a professional dimension and strong logistical support to the occasion.
The Dean further stated that intern dentists at the faculty’s model clinics provided health guidance to university students to promote a culture of prevention and emphasize the importance of daily dental care. The day also included stimulating scientific competitions, during which winners were honored and prizes and gifts were distributed. He revealed that, as part of serving the surrounding community, dental care supplies and gifts were distributed to children visiting the faculty’s clinics.
For her part, Dr. Norhan El-Dokki, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine for Community Service Affairs, stated that this event stemmed from the belief of the Pediatric Dentistry Department that a healthy smile is not merely an aesthetic feature, but a fundamental pillar of an individual’s quality of life within society.
