Under the supervision of Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology… Egyptian Russian University Students Qualify for Central Bank Competition Finals… Names of Qualifiers

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abd-el-Naby, President of the Egyptian Russian University (ERU), announced that, in a new achievement reflecting the excellence of the university’s students, a team of students from the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology, qualified for the finals of the “FinYology” competition, organized by the Central Bank of Egypt in cooperation with the Banking Institute, with wide-scale participation from various Egyptian universities… He pinpointed that this success is the result of the continuous support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mustafa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, in accordance with a strategy which aims at honing students’ scientific and practical skills within major national institutions, in addition to preparing a generation that possesses technical and scientific skills that keep pace with the requirements of the future labor market.

In the same context, Dr. Al-Tahera Al-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Business Technology at the ERU, stated that the participation of the faculty’s students in the “FinYology” competition, organized by the Central Bank of Egypt, embodies the successful partnerships between the academic sector and the digital banking sector, which reinforces the exchange of knowledge and technical expertise. She explained that the goal of the competition is to raise awareness on financial technology and enhance financial literacy among university students, in addition to nurturing and empowering the next generation of local talents in the field of information technology. This is in order to contribute to accomplishing digital transformation plans and developing strategies that achieve the use of modern technology.

The Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Business Technology at the ERU added that participation in the competition began with (6) groups consisting of (34) students from the faculty departments. She explained that after the first elimination stage, (3) groups comprising (16) students qualified. On 4th of March, 2026, the second elimination stage was held. One group consisting of (5) students was selected to represent the faculty and compete at the university level. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to the participating students.

Dr. Al-Tahera Al-Sayed stated that the competition was held under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Engy Raouf, the Faculty’s Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, who was keen to support and encourage the students throughout the competition. She noted that the students’ names were as follows:

  1. Student/ Mennat- Allah Mohamed, from the Accounting Department, third year.
  2. Student/ Radwa Abu-el-Qasim, from the Finance and Investment Department, third year.
  3. Student/ Rawan Mahmoud, from the Management Department, second year.

4- Student/ Rawan Mustafa, from the Management Department, second year.

5- Student/ Youssef Essam, from the Management Department, second year.

The Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Business Technology at the ERU added that these successes encourage the faculty to continue its approach towards motivating its students and faculty members to take part in various forums at local, regional and international levels. The aim is to develop students’ creative thinking skills, fair competition, in addition to helping them keep pace with advanced technology.

She highlighted that the students of the Management Department reaching the final stages is not just about winning a competition, but a practical application of “digital transformation” and “knowledge empowerment,” which are fundamental pillars in Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the global sustainable development goals. She added that these successes came as a result of the continuous support and ambitious vision of the university administration, which is always keen to provide all means of support and opportunities that enable the students to compete.
