“The Convergence of AI and Creative Disciplines” A Seminar at the Egyptian Russian University.

Dr. Mohamed Oraby, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Egyptian Russian University, announced that a seminar for students was held entitled: “The Convergence of AI and Creative Disciplines”, which was given by the artist and researcher in visual arts and its contemporary media “Iyad Oraby”.. Noting that this seminar comes within the framework of student activities to gain experiences from specialists and academics in the field of media and graphics, and to develop students’ capabilities and skills, to qualify them for the labor market, whether: “local, regional or international”. The seminar was under the patronage of Prof. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Naby, President of the University.

The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Egyptian Russian University emphasized that all faculty departments are keen on connecting students with the latest developments in the labor market during study; To graduate a generation of art professionals capable of keeping pace with the labor market, whether: “local, regional or international”. Pointing out that the focus during the seminar was on the interaction between technology and the virtual worlds and images it invents, and the innovative mixing of technology and art.

For his part, Iyad Orabi, a researcher in visual arts and its contemporary media in Germany, explained during the seminar the importance of the synergy of “artificial intelligence” with human creativity in general and creativity in the fields of arts and design in particular, and the importance of its pivotal role and governance capabilities in modern education systems in the fields of arts and design, and the importance and role of programming in building the artistic image and its originality.

Iyad Orabi presented an art exhibition on the concept of “Loops” in programming, where he established an analogous relationship between daily life as a loop in the field of time and programming loops and their role in building virtual worlds in a certain time frame, using different expressive media in an integrative aesthetic formulation that combined video clips, experimental expressive drawings using acids and light-sensitive papers, and used traditional photographic image printing techniques.
