See 130 Projects at Conclusion of the Electronics Course at Egyptian Russian University ... photos

Dr. Sherif Fakhry, President of the Egyptian Russian University (ERU), announced that the university held the annual closing exhibition of the electronics course in the presence of a large number of students, faculty members and experts specializing in the fields of communications, electronics, robotics, and information technology. The event was a manifestation of the keenness of the university administration to develop the skills of the university’s students, support their innovative thinking, and refine their experiences with knowledge which enables them to face the challenges of the local and global labor market. He pinpointed that the exhibition was held with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.

On the same subject, Dr. Alaa Mohamed Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU, asserted that the Electronics Course Closing Exhibition at the Faculty of Engineering witnessed the presentation of a number of different advanced engineering projects which reflect the level of knowledge, skills, and creativity that the university students possess, and their ability to apply what they learned practically in a distinguished manner. He stated that the students demonstrated a high level of professionalism in both designing electronic circuits and implementing smart systems, robots, and technical models that impressed all the attendees.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU explained that all attendees from prominent industry figures and specialists paid tribute to the students’ ability to handle the latest technological tools and their deep understanding of the principles of electronic engineering, which manifests the success of the practical curricula and training workshops which the faculty provides continuously.

 

On her part, Dr. Hanaa Abd-el-Rahman, Advisor to the President of the ERU for Student Activities, expressed her pride in the pioneering engineering innovations presented by the students of the Faculty of Engineering at the “Electronics Course Closing Exhibition”. She revealed that the exhibition is a true embodiment of the ERU’s vision to support applied and creative skills, and that applied activities are not only complementary to the educational process, but a main part of it.

In the same context, Dr. Tamer Saleh, who is in charge of training and teaching in the Department of Communications Engineering and the Executive Director of the Huawei Academy at the ERU, said that 450 male and female students participated in the exhibition activities, during which they presented 130 innovative projects. These projects were not merely case studies, but rather practical ideas that could be refined and transformed into real commercial products in the future. He added that the participating projects covered a diverse range of vital technology sectors, including:

  • Medical field: Innovation of devices to measure blood oxygen levels, heart beats, and body temperature.
  • Smart transportation systems: models of autonomous vehicles relying on artificial intelligence.
  • Sustainability and environment: Integrated smart home projects and advanced water conservation technologies.
  • Security and privacy: Advanced technological solutions in the fields of security and insurance.

The training supervisor and instructor in the Communications Engineering Department at the ERU expressed his gratitude to all participating students and affirmed that this exhibition will continue to be held on annual basis, with plans to expand it and increase the number of participating projects. He added that Dr. Shaymaa Mustafa, Head of the Communications Department at the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Ahmed Hamdy, a Lecturer in the Communications Department, were there to welcome and accompany the guests at the exhibition.

In a related context, Engineer/ Ahmed Mahran, Head of the Communications and Information Technology Committee and member of the Engineers Syndicate Council, lauded the quality of the works on display, praising the university’s efforts in supporting students technically and technologically. He highlighted that the syndicate always welcomes young talents with innovative ideas and seeks to open continuous channels of cooperation with Egyptian universities.

On his part, Engineer/ Mohamed Abd-el-Tawwab, Rapporteur of the Youth Committee of the Engineers Syndicate, emphasized the importance of integrating students into union activities early, and linking them to the real labor market.

In the same context, Engineer/ Ghada Emad Fikry, Rapporteur of the “Our Clear Dream” Committee and the Graduates’ Committee, and member of the Youth Committee at the syndicate, praised the students’ presentation of their projects and their attention to minute details.

On the other hand, Engineer/ Ahmed Talaat, Assistant Rapporteur of the Oath Committee of the Syndicate, asserted that the level of the projects qualifies many students to compete in local and international competitions.

In the same context, Engineer/ Mohamed Magdy Al-Sherif, a member of the syndicate, expressed his admiration for the event organization and the quality of the participating ideas, lauding the organization and the students’ great interaction, stressing that student exhibitions represent an important window to show the excellence of the university and highlight the energies of young people in front of the academic and technical community.

It is worth noting that the closing exhibition of the electronics course was attended by Dr. Seham Ibrahim, Head of the Electricity and Electronics Sector and member of the Center of Scientific and Technological Excellence for Military Production, Engineer Mohamed Shalaby, Head of the Small Industries Association, and Dr. Soha Samir from the university’s Department of Guidance and Psychological Support.

It is worth mentioning that the following supporting staff members participated in the training: Engineer/ Asmaa Al-Sayed, Engineer/ Eman Al-Shamy, Engineer/ Shaymaa Abd-el-Qaqsood, Engineer/ Aya Salah, Engineer/ Nour Walid, Engineer/ Hagar Nasef, and Engineer/ Mennat-Allah Mohamed.

The university emphasizes its commitment to continuing to organize such events which reinforce and highlight young talents and qualify them for the labor market as engineers and innovators, who are capable of leading the technological future.
