Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel-Nabi, President of the Egyptian-Russian University, announced that a delegation from the Chinese Embassy in Cairo, headed by the Embassy’s Counselor for Educational Affairs, Lu Xinsheng, and First Secretary Duan Zoheiz, was received at the university campus in coordination with the Faculty of Languages. The visit aimed to explore ways to enhance academic, research, and technological cooperation. He noted that the visit was sponsored by Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mostafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, as part of the university’s strategy to strengthen relations between its faculties and relevant institutions, both within and outside Egypt, particularly with developed countries in the fields of academic affairs, technology, and scientific research.
For his part, Lu Xinsheng, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy and head of the Chinese delegation, confirmed that the establishment of a cultural and scientific partnership with the Egyptian-Russian University, through the Faculty of Languages, would be explored. Joint coordination will be established with Chinese scientific institutions. He welcomed the establishment of joint cooperation between Chinese universities, the Chinese side, and the Faculty of Languages ​​and the Egyptian-Russian University.
In the same context, Dr. Makarem El-Ghamry, Dean of the Faculty of Languages ​​at the Egyptian-Russian University, explained that the aim of the visit was to establish scientific partnerships that would support the study of the Chinese language (the Chinese Language Department) at the Faculty of Languages, which has witnessed a significant increase in new students this year. She added that the Faculty of Languages ​​has been included in the Chinese government’s scholarship programs for Egyptian students and researchers. She also noted that commemorative gifts were exchanged between the university president and the delegation from the Chinese Embassy.
