The team’s participation came within the framework of the university’s keenness to promote a culture of innovation and leadership among its students and to encourage promising student initiatives that serve the community. Dr. Sherif added that the students were able to win the Excellence and Creativity Award presented by the Engineers’ Syndicate. They were honored by Engineer/ Ahmed Mahran, Head of Communications and Information Technology Committee of the Engineers’ Syndicate, under the auspices of Innovera Company.

The ERU President highlighted that this achievement is the culmination of the university’s efforts to raise and enhance the students’ efficiency and their ability to link theoretical content with practical application, and to increase interaction and engagement with major companies, brands and official agencies operating in the electric vehicle system. This is in order to acquire and exchange experiences, enhance strategic partnerships, prepare a distinguished engineering workforce that contributes to sustainable development, and qualify students to keep pace with the local and international labor markets.

On his part, Dr. Alaa Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU, asserted that the team participated with (18) male and female students in Egypt’s International Summit for Electric Vehicles “2025 EVs”… He paid tribute to the excellence of this team and stated that this achievement came as a continuation of the success story. He also stated that he participated in the “EVER” competition in the past years and won advanced positions in the electric racing car industry.

In the same vein, Dr. Ibrahim Mosaad, Head of the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU, praised the team and its capability to combine and integrate mechanical and electrical engineering, programming and control to design a competitive electric racing car, which reflects the department’s capacity to achieve its educational goals.

In the same context, Dr. Youssef Fawzy, a Lecturer in the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU, and the Academic Supervisor of the team, said: the participation in Egypt’s International Summit for Electric Vehicles “EVs 2025” was based on the belief in the team’s capacity to compete, the efficiency of the team members in the area of engineering designs of electric car parts, in addition to their inspiring passion and aspirations to keep pace with the contemporary developments.

In a related context, Dr. Omar Fathy, a Lecturer in the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU, who supervised the team’s participation in the summit, stated that businessmen and supporting institutions should adopt such young engineering cadres, provide them with appropriate support, and integrate them into comprehensive sustainable development projects.
