THE FACULTY OF ENGINEERING

The Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University seeks to be in a prestigious position among the Egyptian, Arab and international engineering faculties and to be one of the development elements of the Egyptian-Russian cultural and scientific relationships.
The Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University supports the integration of educational, research and service process through providing distinguished academic engineering programs that allow its graduates to compete in different fields of work both locally and regionally, as well as preparing advanced technological engineering researches and unique society and industrial services under the umbrella of global quality systems to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development, promote the production of knowledge, and establish the ethical values within a framework of professional responsibility and community partnership.

Four engineering programs at the Egyptian Russian University have been accredited.

Professor Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, headed by Professor Dr. Johansen Yehia Eid, has officially approved the accreditation of several academic programs at the University's Faculty of Engineering, as follows: • Communications Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics Program: Approved in Session No. (220) of September 28, 2022. • Construction Engineering Program: Approved in Session No. (235) of April 24, 2024. • Architectural Engineering Program: Approved in Session No. (241) of September 25, 2024. Professor Dr. Sherif Fakhry indicated that this achievement was made possible with the full support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mustafa, Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, appreciating the collective efforts of the University's Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, the Faculty's Quality Assurance Unit, and faculty members and their assistants across various departments. This accreditation is valid for five academic years and is subject to renewal in accordance with the requirements of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation. This accreditation reflects official recognition that the aforementioned educational programs provide engineering education that meets national quality standards. The evaluation covered all academic aspects, including the strength of the curriculum, the competence of faculty members, graduation standards, research output, student services, community service activities, management mechanisms and resource allocation, and the level of infrastructure. Professor Dr. Alaa Mohamed El-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, emphasized that this accreditation is a milestone in the college's journey and represents a new commitment to developing the educational process and strengthening the college's position among its peers in Egyptian university engineering. He pointed out that the college is working to build on its successes by accrediting the remaining programs. This goal is to graduate qualified engineers capable of competing in local, regional, and international labor markets, in line with the Egyptian government's Vision 2030 to achieve a comprehensive renaissance in Egyptian and Arab society. Professor Alaa Mohamed El-Batsh added that the Authority's decision stems from the College and University's advanced infrastructure, flexible academic regulations, modern teaching methods, and outstanding student services, in addition to the University's international cooperation agreements with prestigious universities and research institutions both inside and outside Egypt, particularly in the field of engineering. He explained that the distinguished academic cadres of faculty members and teaching assistants have effectively contributed to these achievements by preparing graduates capable of efficiently entering the labor market at the local and international levels. In concluding his speech, the Dean of the College of Engineering emphasized that the integrated teamwork approach among the College's members played a prominent role in obtaining this accreditation the first time, which is a strong incentive to complete the accreditation of the remaining programs within the College, as well as programs in other colleges at the University.
