Students of Communication Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University present a project for planning and improving the Internet of Everything (IoE) for smart cities and 4G/5G networks through mobile applications using Flutter.

To enhance the educational process and provide unique experiences for students that combine academic content, training, and application, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, final year telecommunications engineering students discussed their graduation projects.

In one of the distinguished projects, the focus was on developing a mobile application that leverages the power of the Internet of Everything (IoE) and advanced 5G network technology to build a miniature model of a smart city. This was done using Flutter capabilities and Firebase support.

The students created a comprehensive model representing a smart city, where the Internet of Everything connects people, processes, data, and devices to improve overall quality of life and create a more connected and efficient environment. By harnessing the potential of 5G networks, this project aims to transform urban life, facilitate seamless connectivity, and implement intelligent systems.

The discussion and evaluation were attended by a group of faculty members from the Communications Engineering Department at the university, along with Prof. Dr. Mostafa Hussein, Advisor to the President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) for Education and Director of the AASTMT Alamein Campus.

The project was supervised by Dr. Mohamed Maher, the lecturer in the Communications Engineering Department.

The students’ team included:
Abdel Rahman Mostafa Owais, Fathy Nabil Fathy, Moataz El-Sayed Abdel Monem, Mohamed Ashraf Mahmoud, Osama Ashraf Saad, Youssef Atef Abdel Fattah, Youssef Mohamed El-Sayed, and Ahmed Mohamed Tawfik.
