Under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Egyptian Russian University took part in the global Forum "Vision of the Future”
Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Naby, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the university participated with an official delegation in the Higher Education and Scientific Research Forum in its second edition, which was held in the New Administrative Capital during the period from 8th-10th of December under the title “Vision of the Future.” In the presence of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, a group of ministers, participants of a number of the Islamic world countries, as well as a number of international universities and international bodies and organizations. He indicated that the university delegation included more than two hundred students from different faculties of the university, and that these participations came out of the university leaders’ endeavor to raise the level of students, refine their skills, develop and enrich their practical experiences and keep pace with the developments of the era and its renewed needs.
The President of the Egyptian Russian University added that the aim of these periodic participations of students from various faculties in forums and conferences is to eliminate their fear, enhance their self-confidence, build scientific and social relations, directly interact with scholars and academics to benefit from their experiences. Moreover, students may benefit through having their questions answered by specialists and experts. He added that such participations contribute to learning new scientific foundations and skills that support the practical aspect.
For her part, Dr. Tahira El-Sayed Hamiyah, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Professional Technology and Computers, confirmed that the students of the faculty, from different academic years and departments, participated in the first session of the forum, which talked about “the repercussions of the fourth and fifth industrial revolution”, in general, and “Higher Education and Scientific Research” in particular. She explained that the speakers tackled the importance of integrating technology in all fields of education to prepare and qualify students for future jobs, especially in light of the Corona pandemic. The faculty was characterized by introducing new programs and specializations in it, which are: “Business technology in its 2 branches: Business Analytics, and Management Information Systems which were started the previous year.
The Dean of the Faculty of Management, Professional Technology and Computers stated that the forum dealt with a number of themes such as: the future of work, preparing and qualifying students and young researchers for future jobs, the needs of local and international labor markets in light of the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, rapid changes in employment skills and demand on the labor market.” She pointed out that the forum included the establishment of a series of events and activities in the form of: “meetings, seminars, workshops, panel discussions, and scientific lectures” by experts from academics, professionals, representatives of international organizations, businessmen and youth.
Dr. Tahira El-Sayed Hamiyah noted that the exhibition consisted of many booths for participants from various governmental, private, civil and international universities, technology companies specializing in education and scientific research, international organizations, and funding institutions, which helped the students to interact with practical and professional side on real life through the successful people who were hosted by the Forum from various countries of the world.
