With hands of its students and expertise of its researchers, Egyptian Russian University organizes 17th International Conference on Sustainable Construction and Nanotechnology (NTC 17)

The activities of the International Conference (The Seventeenth Conference on Sustainable Construction and Nanotechnology – NTC 17), organized by the Egyptian Russian University (ERU) under the patronage of Professor/ Dr. Sherif Fakhry Abd-el-Naby, President of the University, have been concluded in the presence of Professor/ Dr. Grigory Ivanovich, Representative of Izhevsk University, the permanent partner of the conference, Professor/ Dr. Sayed Shebl (President of the Conference), Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Batsh (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering), the heads of departments, faculty members from inside and outside the university, as well as researchers and specialists in the areas of civil engineering and advanced materials.

The conference was generously supported and sponsored by an elite of pioneering companies in the sector, including:

  • Arab Contractors Company
  • New Egyptian Shelf Development Company
  • CMB Company
  • Neqat Company
  • FRP Company

The attendees paid tribute to the active role performed by the sponsoring companies in enriching the practical aspect of the conference through showcasing the technological solutions serving the sustainable construction sector. The event concluded with the honoring of sponsors and participants, and the issuance of several important recommendations that will shape the future of advanced sustainable building and construction technologies.

As for the conference organization, it was a great success, reflecting the arduous efforts of the organizing committee, headed by Dr. Aly Al-Refai, Dr. Mohamed Gamal, and Dr. Mohamed Rabbah. The participants praised the excellent organization, which was distinguished with its smoothness and precision, starting with the registration procedures and the reception of delegations, through the outstanding coordination of the scientific sessions, and up to the technical preparations for the university theater.

The participation of student activity also played an important role in the success of the events, as the vibrant spirit of the university students was embodied and they were the main driving force of the organizational scene. The members of the student activity (New Vision) facilitated the movement of attendance, organized the registration process and provided support throughout the conference period, in a step that reflects the ability of university students to lead and work collectively.

In a gesture that impressed the audience, Student/ Menna Al-Hadeedy (from the Faculty of Engineering) stood at the podium and skillfully moderated the scientific sessions, demonstrating that the ERU’s strategy aims not only at graduating scientifically distinguished engineers but also preparing leadership cadres who are capable of representing their institution at major events.

Best wishes for continued excellence to all members of the university, students and researchers.
