Details of the Visit by the Faculty of Management Students at the Egyptian Russian University to the Stock Exchange Headquarters
Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel-Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology organized a visit for its students to the headquarters of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, as part of the implementation of the cooperation protocol between the university and the Egyptian Exchange. He noted that the visit aimed to enhance the students’ practical experience, familiarize them with the real-world operations of financial markets, provide them with an in-depth understanding of how the stock exchange and capital markets function, and refine their skills in investment and financial business—ultimately preparing highly qualified graduates for both the local and international labor markets. He added that the visit was supported by Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mostafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.
In the same context, Dr. Al-Tahera El-Sayed Hamia, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that the visit included students from the Departments of Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, and Business Technology, in addition to third- and fourth-year students from the Digital Banking & FinTech Department and the Digital Political Science Department, as well as members of the Faculty’s Organizers Club. She pointed out that the visit took place under the supervision of Dr. Nehad Hosni Youssef, Acting Head of the Accounting Department, and Mohamed Gamal, Teaching Assistant in the Economics Department.
The Dean added that the Public Relations and Training Team of the Egyptian Stock Exchange welcomed the students. Mr. Mohamed Zouheir, Director of the Financial Literacy Department at the Egyptian Exchange, delivered a detailed presentation on the mechanisms of the financial market, the role of the stock exchange in promoting investment and supporting the national economy, an explanation of the trading screen components, and how buy and sell orders are executed. The session also included an overview of the key economic indicators linked to the performance of the Egyptian market.
Dr. Al-Tahera El-Sayed Hamia noted that the visit featured an interactive session where students’ questions were addressed on topics related to investing in stocks, bonds, and investment funds, as well as financial transparency and regulatory mechanisms within the market. The students expressed great interest in the information provided, confirming that the visit helped them connect their academic studies with practical application.
At the end of the visit, Dr. Nehad Hosni Youssef, Acting Head of the Accounting Department at the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology, expressed her gratitude to the Egyptian Exchange administration for their warm reception and continuous support in promoting financial literacy among university students. She noted that this visit is part of a series of training and awareness activities organized by the Faculty in service of the community, aimed at developing students’ skills and connecting them with the financial and investment labor market.
