Architecture & Landscape Architecture
Architectural design integrated with the design of the outdoor and transitional spaces around buildings.
Integrating art, science and design to create spaces that improve quality of life.
Overview
The Department of Environmental Design responds to Egypt’s commitment to environmental design as a driver of modernisation and sustainable development. Its interdisciplinary curriculum integrates exterior and interior spatial design within one coherent framework.
Studio-based learning is the core of the programme: students work on carefully selected real-world case studies across Greater Cairo, including the New Administrative Capital and other emerging cities, supported by courses in materials and construction, landscape, interior architecture, technology and the history of spatial design.
